Day in DC
So today, or should I say yesterday, my class went on a trip to the National Mall. We each had to choose a place to photograph, which I thought was really cool cause I like working alone. I chose the Natural History Museum, one of my favorite places in DC. I had lots of fun walking around and snapping pics all over the place. I mean I’ve done it before, but this time it was just me and now I have a pretty damn awesome camera compared to the others I’ve had. I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi, thanks to my school, whom I’ve given the nickname Starfucker, muahahaha. Why? I don’t know. My teacher said we should name our cameras and that name was the first that came to mind. I have been NIN obsessed lately. Well, anyway I hadn’t noticed how freakin’ close the metro was to the place! I feel like a complete loser. But now I know, and I will most definitely be taking my own little trips to DC more often. Ever since I started college I’ve become a fan of the metro. It has actually made me more outgoing. I can no longer stand being stuck at home.
Well back to the DC trip, I wish I had more time! And I’m looking at my pictures and some aren’t as sharp as I wanted them to be! But hey, I can always go again.

Went to the mammals exhibition first:
Then went to see the Gems and stuff.
I tried to get a nice pic of the Hope Diamond, but I couldn’t! Darn me. But I got this and it looks pretty…
After that I went into the Reptile area:
It ended up leading me into the insect exhibition, so when I saw the bugs I turned back and rushed away! Saw a couple more things then had to leave. I only had like an hour. I went across the street and got some water. fries and a hot dog all which was like a little more than 8 bucks! Crazy.
Now my next 6 days are probably going to be hell-ish as I am reaching finals. Final exams, got a couple of final photo projects due and a portfolio. Have things to buy, and have to check out the large format camera sometime in the next 3 days! I need money :/
